Position Title: Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)
Position Type: FT and PT, Per Diem
Position Description:
  • Provides care to residents under the direction of a licensed nurse.
  • Provides patient care in a manner conducive to safety and comfort. Patient care includes, but is not limited to:
    • Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
    • Obtain weights and vital signs.
    • Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, and locomotion as needed.
    • Positions resident in proper body alignment in and out of bed.
    • Correctly applies adaptive equipment.
    • Assists licensed nurse with treatments and procedures as needed.
  • Feeds or assists residents with meals and snacks
  • Accurately records resident intake and output
  • Accurately records resident care needs and bowel movement status in daily flow sheets.
  • Promptly answers call lights and resident requests.
  • Promptly cleans any spills or messy areas.
  • Uses standard precautions for all patients; correctly uses Contact and/or Droplet Precautions when directed.
  • Immediately reports changes in resident’s condition to charge nurse and/or supervisor.
  • Immediately reports resident or family concerns or complaints to charge nurse and/or supervisor.
  • Assists with post mortem care.
  • Complies with all policies and procedures.
  • Maintains privacy of all residents.
  • Maintains positive working relationships between nursing and other departments.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Consistently displays the highest value on quality of life for the resident and customer service.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma preferred.
  • Successful completion of a NH state approved LNA program.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language mandatory
  • Current NH LNA license
  • One year of experience in geriatric nursing or long term care nursing preferred
  • CPR for Healthcare Provider preferred
